The deep sea port of Wallaroo is home to the Spencer Gulf prawn boats. The popular North Beach Township where the "shacks" line the beachfront and you can drive down onto the beach for a mile or two is a very popular spot in both summer and winter.
The marina with its twisting waterfront homes has made the town popular for retiring farmers and holiday makers alike.
The nautical museum is worth a visit and to relive the fascinating history of the town, once a busy port which delivered copper to the world.
