Anyone with a love for the sea and its history must visit Port Vic, the last of the windjammer ports. The small museum at the end of the jetty will show the town's history and is well worth the visit.
Today the town is a little paradise for fishers and divers alike. 8 shipwrecks surround the nearby waters and the underwater diving trail is popular with divers.
The jetty is long and popular with swimmers and fishers.
There is also a popular geology walking trail along the coast. Pick up a brochure from the local shop.
Port Vic has a pub, takeaway and general store. Visit nearby Maitland just 10 minutes to the north for all other needs.
Approx 2 hours from Adelaide.
